SLINGJAW

this group is made up of an amorphous / rotating cast of friends currently residing on unceded and stolen native territory; so-called "Vancouver". we grew up in different places of heritage and culture and we hope to honour the stories we carry through this work; we care strongly about seeing the representation of our people. we have contributed to DIY and the underground since our youth and sense an urgency at this time in the world's history to create with immediacy and to aid in processing the anxieties of witnessing the parasitic intent of the dominant structure double down on the exertion of its power.

music began as ceremony; as a more direct power. we want to utilize our modern tools to remind others of these ancient roots. we want to invoke a regulation or release of pain.
