Elise Boulanger is a classically-trained Orchestral Indie-Pop artist from Vancouver/Nanaimo, BC. She is known for a commanding, angelic voice that draws frequent comparisons to Kate Bush and Florence & The Machine. Boulanger weaves ukulele, symphonic strings, drums and autoharp into dramatic songs in English and French drenched in beauty and uplifting environmentalism and social advocacy.
Her live shows are immersive, participatory experiences. From leading audiences in collective yodelling to mesmerizing them with intense performances, Boulanger curates unforgettable live experiences for new audiences wherever she plays. Voted Top 3 Entertainers in Nanaimo, BC and receiving national CBC radioplay, Boulanger has performed at Woodstove Festival, Wells, Canada Day Victoria, and the Honda Celebration of Lights, continuing to fearlessly create her own lush musical world.Her newest release is Ambient-Rock track “Oh, Deer.” It is a collaboration with Indigenous musician Simbiyez Wilson showcasing their haunting and immense voices.
