BROOKIE BOI

Brooke's is a Nanaimo local whose performing career started just before lockdown when she bought a looper pedal and played her first live performance at Nanaimo’s community lead River Fest. Brookie Boi (formerly Brooke Bath and Beyond) creates live soundscapes using her voice, guitar, and heirloom omnichord. She layers of a mix of haunting melodies and vocal harmonies tapping into lyricism written from real-life experiences living with mental health. Her music opens a space to share relatable frustrations, connection and dance. Brooke is graduating this spring with her masters in Community Planning yet has always made time for her passions in music. In a short 5 years Brookie Boi has performed shows all over the island and local area, playing local shows, festivals or wherever her music is invited. Her act has transformed, shaped and shifted in many capacities and she is excited to share some new faces and instruments on stage with her this year.
